Driveshaft Measurement

  1. With the vehicle’s weight resting on its suspension, slide the slip yoke forward until it bottoms out inside the transmission.
  2. Measure the distance between the front and rear U-joints.
  3. Subtract 3/4″ – 1″ to allow for slip yoke travel.  This is the ideal driveshaft length.
